The Licensed Practical Nurse provides appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN, including gathering data and carrying out therapeutic procedures. They are responsible for performing duties consistent with hospital policies and guidelines to ensure quality patient care.
Candidates must hold a current LPN/LVN license in the state of practice and possess a current BLS certification. One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for providing appropriate nursing care, as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. Functions include gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner, consistent with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Education and Training: Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state where the hospital resides. Current BLS certification required.
