The Surgical Technologist performs perioperative support tasks, including preparing patients and equipment, and providing technical assistance to surgeons during procedures. Responsibilities also include managing instrument trays, passing medications and supplies, and assisting with clinical duties like taking vitals.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is also required.
