The Certified Medical Assistant I facilitates patient office visits by performing intake, triage, and clinical procedures such as phlebotomy and injections. They also maintain electronic health records, assist physicians with exams, and handle administrative tasks like prior authorizations and lab orders.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, NRCMA, NCMA, or RMA). A current CPR or BLS certificate is also required, and no prior experience is necessary.
