The Medical Assistant I facilitates efficient patient office visits by performing intake, triage, and clinical procedures such as phlebotomy and injections. They also maintain accurate electronic health records, assist physicians with exams, and manage laboratory and pharmacy communications.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and a Medical Assisting Diploma or Certificate of Completion. A current CPR or BLS certificate is required, and professional certification (CMA, CCMA, etc.) is preferred.
