• Range: $16.00 - $19.00 HourlyPosition Summary The PRN Caregiver provides compassionate, resident-centered care to individuals living in the assisted living community. This position supports residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), promotes safety and dignity, and assists with maintaining a comfortable and engaging environment. PRN caregivers fill in as needed to support staffing coverage, including weekends, evenings, or overnight shifts. Key Responsibilities Resident Care Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility Support residents with transfers and ambulation as needed Provide reminders or assistance with medications as directed by licensed staff or medication technicians Observe and report changes in resident condition or behavior Resident Support & Engagement Encourage resident independence while providing appropriate support Assist residents with meals and hydration Support resident participation in activities and social engagement Safety & Monitoring Ensure residents are safe and comfortable Respond promptly to resident call systems or requests for assistance Follow infection control and safety procedures Documentation & Communication Document care provided according to community policies Communicate effectively with team members regarding resident needs Report concerns or incidents to supervisors promptly Housekeeping & Environment Maintain a clean and safe resident environment Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to resident care when needed QualificationsQualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Caregiver experience in assisted living, memory care, or healthcare setting preferred Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification preferred but not always required Ability to work flexible shifts as needed Compassionate, patient, and dependable Strong communication and teamwork skills Physical Requirements Ability to assist residents with mobility and transfers Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs with assistance Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods Work Schedule This is a PRN (as-needed) position, meaning shifts are scheduled based on staffing needs, call-offs, or increased resident care needs. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays is preferred.
