The Registered Midwife will provide comprehensive midwifery care, including patient advocacy and addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. They will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centred outcomes.
Candidates must hold a current registration with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board and possess a degree-level qualification in Midwifery. Demonstrated competency in continuity of care models and effective clinical communication skills are essential.
Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for a Registered Midwife - Midwifery Group Practice to join us in a permanent, full-time or part-time role.
Based at our Springfield campus, these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield — opening early 2026. As Mater’s first new public hospital in over 60 years, this state-of-the-art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With 174 public beds, ICU, maternity, emergency and surgical services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually.
