The technologist is responsible for sleep study data acquisition, patient education, and performing various titration protocols including CPAP and dental appliances. They also handle routine equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.
Candidates must hold an RPSGT certification and an associate degree in Polysomnography, along with at least two years of relevant experience. Active Maryland licensure and familiarity with AASM scoring manuals are also required.

If so, Somnus Sleep Center in Waldorf, MD has a position for you! Somnus Sleep Center currently seeks a Part-time Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to work 1 weeknight and 1 weekend night (preferred Sunday & Monday). This position will involve working 10-hour night shifts.

Sleep study data acquisition. Positive airway pressure (and oxygen) titration. Dental appliance titration. Patient education. Sleep Study Preparation and Set-Up. Sleep Study Execution and Observation. Routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluation. Other duties as assigned. An Ideal Candidate Has current experience with diagnostic, CPAP/Bi-level titration, and MSLT/MWT study protocols and is thoroughly familiar with AASM Practice Parameters and other Sleep related duties. Has the ability to demonstrate strong patient care skills, exceptional customer service and can work independently. Has good people skills, is a team player, and is detail-oriented. Is knowledgeable and able to comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues.
Rate for this position is commensurate with experience. ($30-$36/hr) Set Schedule: Consistent 10-hour night shifts (Sunday and Monday nights preferred). No "on-call" or floating rotation required.
