Job Summary
Under the direction of the Nurse Leader, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the quality of care for an assigned caseload of patients.
This includes delegating duties appropriately and directing staff in the delivery of care, assuring responsibility for the appropriate utilization of resources, collaborating with medical staff and others in the provision of care, and demonstrating positive interpersonal relationships with others in communication and problem resolution.
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the hospital setting.
Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
Registered Nurse Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Graduate from an accredited nursing school program required.
Technical in Nursing required. Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
