The Direct Support Professional provides one-to-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to foster inclusion and independence. Responsibilities include implementing service plans, assisting with daily living tasks, and maintaining accurate documentation of client progress and appointments.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to work at various locations throughout King County. Strong communication skills and the ability to pass a criminal background check are required.
Effective communication skills to provide feedback to all levels of management. Experience and basic understanding of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Therap. Ability to effectively work both independently and with the Coordinator Team and the Health Advocate Professional. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse economic, ethnic and social backgrounds. Ability to prioritize work and or to ask for support in doing so from Supervisors and Coordinator. OR a combination of education, experience and measurable performance which demonstrates the capability to perform the duties of this position.
