The Clinical Associate will provide direct patient care, including examination, diagnosis, and treatment within the Emergency Department. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate patient documentation and complying with all departmental and Medicare billing standards.
Candidates must possess an MD or DO degree and be board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine. Additionally, a valid California Medical License and California DEA registration are required for this role.

Clinical Associate is expected to comply with all compliance standards, complete all required trainings, and follow proper documentation process to meet the standards of the Compliance Office and Medicare regulations.
Your Role on the Team
The University of California, Irvine is seeking qualified candidates for a Clinical Associate (per diem, 43%) for inpatient coverage. The Clinical Associate will primarily provide patient care services at the Emergency Department at UCI Health – Los Alamitos with the potential to work at other sites in the future. Clinical Associate is expected to comply with all compliance standards, complete all required trainings, and follow proper documentation process to meet the standards of the Compliance Office and Medicare regulations.
Per diem rates for Clinical Associate is $210/hr. Per-diem Clinical Associates will be paid bi-weekly based on hours worked during pay period.
Location: UCI Health – Los Alamitos
Schedule: Provide availability for at least 2-3 shifts per month
