The Behavioral Health Technician provides direct patient care and facilitates a safe, therapeutic environment under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, documenting patient data, conducting group sessions, and performing crisis intervention.
A high school diploma or GED is required, with a bachelor's degree in a mental health field preferred. Candidates should have experience working with behavioral health patients and must complete CPR and aggression management training within 90 days.
Education: High school diploma/GED required. BA or BS Degree in a related mental health field is preferred.
