The Certified Pharmacy Technician is responsible for the aseptic preparation of IV admixtures and the accurate distribution of medications using manual and automated systems. They also manage narcotic distribution, maintain pharmacy inventory, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Candidates must be a high school graduate and a certified pharmacy technician with the ability to obtain a Tennessee State Pharmacy License. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in pharmacy technology and one year of pharmacy experience.
The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
Required: High School Graduate and Certified Pharmacy Technician.
Preferred: AS Degree in Pharmacy Technology or Accredited Pharmacy Tech Course completion
Experience: Required: National Certification
IV Training Certificate, 1 year pharmacy experience.
