The Administrative Assistant manages front desk workflows, client reception, and complex provider scheduling within a mental health clinic. They also handle insurance verification, billing support, and maintain accurate electronic health records while acting as a liaison for school-based sites.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and 1-2 years of medical or behavioral health administrative experience. Strong multi-tasking, de-escalation skills, and the ability to work in high-stress clinical environments are required.
MHOTRS is an OMH regulated outpatient mental health clinic that supports children, adolescents, and adults. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing the workflow of the front desk, ensuring that clients feel welcomed and that administrative operations run smoothly to support the clinical team. The individual is required to work in-person from our Far Rockaway locations during hours of operation, which includes evenings and weekends. This position requires a hybrid presence, including at least one day per week stationed at a school satellite site.
