The role involves providing basic medical and nursing care, including telephone triage, medication administration, and patient education. The specialist also assists physicians with office procedures and maintains the integrity of the clinical environment.
Candidates must be either a licensed LPN in Florida or a medical assistant with an accredited program completion or relevant work experience. Additional requirements include obtaining BLS certification and medical assistant certification within 90 days of employment.
Description THE IDEAL CANDIDATE NEED TO BE AN LPN OR A MEDICAL ASSISTANT Summary/Objective: Provide basic medical and nursing care. Ensure the comfort of patients, discuss health care with patients, and report status of patients to registered nurses and providers. Essential Functions · Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage. · Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required. · Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction. · Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate. · Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information patient’s medical records · Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office. · Assists the physician with medical office procedures. · Maintain the integrity of the office.
LPN Specialist requirements are: Required Education and Experience: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing. Must possess active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Preferred Education and Experience: Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
