The Laboratory Technologist I is responsible for data entry, specimen processing, and analysis of clinical and forensic samples. They also support clinic personnel and clients in ordering laboratory tests and proper specimen collection.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an associate degree with certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist. They should be able to work independently, manage time effectively, and have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
The Laboratory Technologist I main duties include data entry, specimen processing and analysis of clinical/forensic samples. Responsibilities may be limited to one testing area or may overlap across lab departments. This position also provides support to the clinic personnel and clients in the ordering of laboratory tests and proper specimen collection. All laboratory technologists report to department supervisors and the laboratory manager.
Current disciplines of testing at Valley Medical include toxicology, immunology and Molecular.
• $21 an hour *The compensation range may represent the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, qualifications, education, internal equity and business needs.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
