The Admission Nurse collaborates with inpatient providers, primary nurses, and other disciplines to coordinate the admission process and deliver comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care. This role ensures an efficient admission process for patients arriving from the Emergency Department or the community.
Candidates must be a Registered Nurse with an Associate’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred) and hold a New Hampshire or compact state license. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Acute Care Clinical areas is required, with previous Admission Nurse experience being highly preferred.

About the Job: As a crucial member of the Patient Care Services team, the Admission Nurse plays a vital role in providing comprehensive and compassionate nursing care to patients with diverse diagnoses. Working closely with the Emergency Department and Inpatient units, the Admission Nurse facilitates the admission process for patients coming from the ED or the community. Collaboration with the ED staff, Nursing Supervisors, and inpatient team is essential to initiate the admission process and ensure smooth throughput. What You’ll Do: Works collaboratively with inpatient providers, primary nurses, other disciplines, and inpatient floors to coordinate the admission process, and to provide the patients with comprehensive care. Ensures efficient admission process for patients originating in the ED or from the community.
