The Mental Health Technician provides continuous patient care, supervision, and role modeling within a behavioral health unit. They are responsible for monitoring the unit environment, leading activity groups, and assisting nursing staff with patient care activities.
A High School Diploma or GED is required, while a Bachelor's degree in a psychology-related field is highly preferred. Candidates must also possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.

Monitors unit milieu and helps to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients Leads activity groups for patients according to the program schedule Conducts patient observation rounds throughout the shift to ensure safety Works collaboratively with unit nursing staff on patient care activities Responds to patient crisis events accordingly using de-escalation techniques.
