Respond to trauma activations, perform admissions, and conduct daily rounding for the trauma and general surgery team. Perform bedside procedures and manage patients across ICU, step-down, and general floor levels.
Must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications. One year of surgical specialty experience is preferred, though new graduates are considered.
MyMichigan Health has an excellent opportunity for a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the established Trauma and General Surgery Team in Midland, Michigan! Full time, day shift Rotating 12-hour shifts 7 days a week coverage, distributed amongst APPs within the group 100% inpatient (no clinic responsibilities)
Respond to trauma activations and perform admissions and consults for the trauma and general surgery team, as well as interpretation/treatment of testing and daily rounding First call for ER consults, activations and nursing questions Bedside procedures including chest tubes, arterial lines, central lines, laceration repair Variety of patient care, including ICU management, step down and general floor level patients
Certifications and Licensures
AHA approved BLS Certification AHA approved ACLS Certification ATLS Certification required prior to completion of orientation
Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program One year of experience with surgical specialties preferred, new grads will be considered
