The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults. Additionally, the provider delivers aural rehabilitation and implements augmentative and alternative communication systems.
Candidates must hold a current state license to practice speech pathology, a CCC-SLP certification, and a current CPR certification. A postgraduate degree from a CAA-accredited program is required, with one year of experience preferred.
Responsible for working to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults. Provides aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provides augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders. Other duties as assigned.
