Performs therapeutic communication and interventions with psychiatric patients while monitoring their behavior and reporting findings to the Charge Nurse. Assists patients with activities of daily living and ensures safety through regular environmental rounds and documentation.
Requires an Associate's degree in human services or enrollment in a bachelor's program in psychology, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. BLS certification is required, and previous experience in behavioral health is preferred.

Observes the condition of the patient and communicates with the Charge Nurse on an ongoing basis concerning the patient's behavior. Reports any unusual situation or incidents observed. Works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
