Conduct intake assessments to determine necessary levels of care and provide clinical recommendations for client stabilization. Act as a service connector and provide case management or crisis intervention within an interdisciplinary team.
Requires a master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling with at least 2 years of experience in community mental health. Professional licensure as an LCSW or LPC is preferred.

Reports to: Clinical Supervisor
The Intake Coordinator is a professional who works with other clinicians to conduct intake assessments to determine the level of care or service needed. Additionally, acts as a service connector for clients needing services in the community mental health settings. This is a non-supervisory position that works directly with clients and is part of an interdisciplinary team serving clients in clinics and community settings
Skills requirements
This Position requires excellent skills in active listening, understanding of DSM-IV framework, clinical assessment, crisis intervention and community resources. Effective oral and written communication skills and organization skills are essential, as well as the ability to:
1) work under pressure and meet deadlines;
2) adapt to workload demands and set priorities;
3) present a positive attitude and professional appearance
4) build rapport with clients and develop positive working relationships.
Qualifications: for this Position:
The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree (MUST) in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling with at least 2 years’ experience in the assessment and treatment of community mental health. Licensed candidates are preferred.
Licensed (including provisional) Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed (including provisional) Professional Counselor (LPC) preferred
