Coordinates clinical research studies by recruiting and consenting patients, collecting data, and performing clinical tests. Responsible for maintaining regulatory binders, performing data analysis, and assisting the Principal Investigator with reports and presentations.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science (or equivalent experience) and 1-2 years of post-bachelor's clinical research experience. Proficiency in REDCap, Epic EMR, and IRB submissions is required.
Ability to work more independently and as a team member. - Computer literacy, analytical skills, and ability to resolve technical problems. - Ability to interpret the acceptability of data results. - Working knowledge of data management programs. Additional Job Details (if applicable) The Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Emergency Medicine's division of clinical research is seeking a highly motivated individual with a minimum of one year hands-on clinical research experience to assist with ongoing and future clinical research studies as Clinical Research Coordinator II. Through participation in a variety of federally funded and industry sponsored clinical research studies and trials, our division aims to find new and effective treatments for injuries and illnesses such as trauma, infections, sepsis, stroke, behavioral health intervention, suicide prevention, device studies and others. The incumbent will work with a dynamic team of investigators and research staff to coordinate multiple studies performed in the emergency department at MGH. Experience with developing REDCap projects, Epic EMR, IRB submissions (MGB Insight platform is preferred), and in person participant recruitment will be required and will be discussed during the interview. A medical degree will be valuable (e.g., international medical graduate). Some overnight shifts may be required based on study protocols, and weekend coverage will be needed about once a month.
