The SLP evaluates and treats speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders for frail older adults within the PACE program. They collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans that promote functional independence and safety.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, a current California SLP license, and BLS/First Aid certification. Preference is given to those with CCC-SLP certification and experience working with older adult populations in medical settings.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (or eligibility) Minimum one year of experience working with a frail and/or older adult population Experience with dysphagia and cognitive-communication disorders management in medical settings Experience in interdisciplinary or managed care settings (e.g., PACE, SNF, home health) LANGUAGE: Must be able to fluently speak, read and write English. Fluency in Chinese (Cantonese) , Mandarin and/or Vietnamese are preferred. Fluency in other languages is an asset. STATUS: This is an FLSA Non-exempt position. This is not an OSHA high-risk position.
