Performs complex clinical laboratory analyses on various sample types, specifically including blood bank functions. Ensures quality, efficiency, and safety while complying with regulatory guidelines and troubleshooting equipment issues.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related sciences, or an Associate's degree with at least three years of clinical experience. ASCP certification or an equivalent is preferred.
3:00p to 11:30p every 3rd weekend Under general supervision, performs analyses on a variety of sample types. Maintains proper records and utilizes independent judgement to generate acceptable test results. Responsible for quality, efficiency and safety in the performance of laboratory functions. Serves as a fully effective and participative member of the multidisciplinary patient care services team. Key Responsibilities:
Blood bank is required as part of this position.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, biology or related sciences required or; an Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, or completion of Military Laboratory Technology with a minimum of three years of experience.
