At Futures, our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) play a vital role in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives. What You’ll Do As a DSP, you’ll provide hands-on support and guidance to individuals in a residential group home setting.
Your responsibilities will include: Supporting individuals with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, toileting, meals, etc.) Administering medications (certification required/provided) Implementing Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and documenting progress Encouraging independence, skill-building, and personal growth Supporting individuals in community activities and engagement Responding to behavioral or crisis situations using positive, respectful approaches Completing daily documentation in our electronic health record system Maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive home environment (light housekeeping, shopping, laundry) What We’re Looking For Passion for helping others and making an impact Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations Basic computer skills for documentation and training Willingness to learn and follow state regulations and agency policies Medication Administration Certification (or willingness to obtain) Schedule

We offer flexible opportunities based on your availability:
Full-Time:
Minimum 36 hours/week (consistent schedule)
Part-Time:
Up to 30 hours/week (set schedule)
Substitute: Flexible/on-call (hours and locations may vary) Shifts may include evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Lift up to 40–100 lbs independently; 100+ lbs with assistance Ability to push/pull wheelchairs and assist with mobility Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive motion Ability to respond quickly in emergency or safety situations Work Environment You’ll be working closely with individuals who may have intellectual disabilities and co-occurring mental health needs. Some behaviors may include verbal or physical aggression, self-injury, or property destruction. Training and support are provided to ensure staff feel prepared and safe.
