The Addictions Counselor provides direct care to dually diagnosed and chemically dependent patients within a therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, delivering individual and group educational services, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to meet treatment goals.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related mental health discipline. Alternatively, a High School Diploma is acceptable if accompanied by experience in chemical dependency or mental health treatment settings.
