Day:8 Hours Reporting Relationships Does this position formally supervise employees? ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provides direct patient care and support to the anesthesia providers for routine, urgent and complex surgical cases and procedures to ensure quality of patient care. Assists in the preparation and maintenance of patient equipment and anesthesiology delivery systems before, during or after anesthesia to ensure quality of patient care. Administers supportive to the care of the patient undergoing anesthesia. Assists in positioning and transferring of patient when needed. Communicates pertinent information regarding patient condition to anesthesia provider or nursing staff. Decontaminates and processes instruments, equipment, fiberoptic bronchoscopic equipment for the operating room. Replaces circuits and assembles all necessary supplies. Maintains supply, equipment and pharmacy inventory to optimize the delivery of anesthesia services. Checks sterile supplies for quotas, expiration dates, rotation of supplies and maintenance of sterile supply area cleanliness. Identifies malfunctioning equipment and notifies appropriate personnel. Performs other duties as needed.
