We are currently welcoming Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team in either a full-time or part-time capacity. Whether your background is in hospitals, assisted living, or private care, we invite you to explore hospice work that truly makes a difference.
As a Hospice Aide with LDV Hospice, you will work closely with our nurses and interdisciplinary team to deliver hands-on care, emotional support, and comfort to patients during their end-of-life journey. You’ll support physical, emotional, and practical needs with compassion and professionalism.
Key Duties Include: Assisting with hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
Helping with mobility, transfers, and patient positioning
Providing companionship and emotional reassurance to patients and families
Assisting with exercises and mobility techniques under professional supervision
Helping patients take self-administered medications under RN guidance
Performing light housekeeping duties essential to the patient’s comfort
Documenting all care activities and reporting notable changes
Attending care team meetings and contributing to care planning
Following personalized care instructions from supervising clinicians
Maintaining strict confidentiality and safety standards at all times
Minimum Requirements: Current CNA license in the state of New Mexico
Completion of an approved CNA training or evaluation program
Listed in good standing on the New Mexico Nurse Aide Registry
Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
Respectful, empathetic approach to patient care
Ability to assist with lifting, mobility, and repositioning
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Not listed on the OIG Exclusion List
Preferred Experience: One year of experience in CNA, hospice aide, or similar caregiving roles
Familiarity with elderly and terminal patient care
Additional Expectations: Occasional participation in an on-call rotation may be necessary
Must be self-directed and able to manage field-based responsibilities
Willingness to attend trainings and stay current with hospice practices
