About the Role

As a Shared Living Respite Caregiver, you will support a female individual with daily living activities while fostering a safe, stable, and enriching environment. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to build a lasting relationship and make a direct impact on someone’s quality of life.

Schedule

• 30 hours/week with flexibilityCompensation: $20/hour (taxable) **Housing on Nantucket is not provided*
• Responsibilities Provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment Assist with daily living skills such as cooking, hygiene, and daily living skills Support medical and personal care needs (as needed) Facilitate community involvement, socialization, and recreational activities Maintain documentation and communicate regularly with the KDC care team Collaborate with case managers and clinical staff to support individual goals Support Ongoing training and 24/7 support from KDC staff Access to clinical and case management guidance Who This is Great For Caregivers or human service professionals College Students Empty nesters or retirees Individuals looking to make an impact Anyone with a passion for supporting individuals with disabilities Why Choose KDC? Qualifications Must be 18 years or older Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Must be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship Ability to pass background checks (CORI/BRC, fingerprinting, etc.) Experience in caregiving, human services, or a related field preferred—but not required Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach
