The Peer Support Specialist serves as a role model and advocate for members in outpatient settings to assist them in regaining independence and mastering their recovery process. Responsibilities include conducting individual and group services, implementing treatment plan goals, and transporting members to community resources.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, Peer Support Certification, and personal lived experience within the behavioral health or child welfare systems. Additional requirements include being at least 21 years old, possessing a valid Arizona Driver's License, and passing a DPS Level I fingerprint clearance.
Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Peer Support Certification from Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) or another approved provider. Minimum Experience Required: Past personal experience within the behavioral health system or child welfare system required. REGULATORY: Minimum 21years of age. Able to pass a minimum 5 panel drug test & submit to regular screening. DPS Level I fingerprint clearance (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment). Maintain a clear Central Registry Background Check. CPR, First Aid, (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment). Current, valid Arizona Driver's License and 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration liability insurance to meet insurance requirements. Questions about this position?
