The pharmacist is responsible for reviewing, verifying, and dispensing medication orders while supervising pharmacy technicians and interns. Additional duties include participating in clinical activities such as rounding, trauma cases, and managing the anticoagulation clinic.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution. A minimum of one year of pharmacist experience is required, with hospital experience and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications strongly encouraged.

Assists with quality improvement projects, such as Drug Use Evaluations, analysis of interventions etc as requested by Pharmacy Leadership. The pharmacist reviews, interprets and verifies all medication orders and prescriptions received by the pharmacy. Additionally, the pharmacists compounds and dispenses medications and supervises pharmacy technicians and interns who do the same. The pharmacist will also assist with various clinical activities including rounding, attendance at CODE/Trauma cases, reviewing Pyxis reports for cost saving interventions, and staffing the anticoagulation clinic.
EDUCATION Bachelor of Science in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school. EXPERIENCE Minimum of one year experience as a pharmacist, with hospital experience preferred. LICENSURE BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification strongly encouraged.
