Provide direct care and assistance with activities of daily living for residents while ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety. Monitor resident conditions, record vital signs, and maintain a clean and safe environment in compliance with facility policies.
Requires a valid Nurse Aide certification issued by the Virginia Department of Health Professions. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with the physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with residents, staff, and family members. Must exhibit patience and a positive attitude towards the elderly population and a desire to provide a service to the community. Intuitive, creative thinker. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, bend, and reach for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently (up to 66% of the time spent in performance of duties) and up to 35 pounds occasionally (up to 33% of time spent in performance of duties). Manual dexterity that allows grasping, carrying, and holding equipment and supplies or for resident care as needed to perform tasks. Ability to see, hear, and verbally communicate with residents, visitors, and staff members during performance of duties.
