The Pharmacy Technician will prepare and distribute prescribed medications and healthcare products under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities also include managing inventory, delivering medications, and participating in terminal cleanings.
A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with registration by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. IV Certification and one year of pharmacy technician experience are preferred.

A Registered Pharmacy Technician at Harris Health System will prepare and distribute prescribed medications and other health care products under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This includes reconstituting medications, compounding sterile preparations, managing inventory, delivering medication to patient care units, replenishing medications in the automated dispensing cabinets, and participating in the scheduled Terminal Cleanings. This role will also be called upon to answer phones, file invoices, stock shelves, and complete data entry.
