Provide non-clinical, person-centered wellness support to help consumers engage in treatment and utilize recovery plans. Use lived experience with recovery to inspire hope and support consumers in achieving personal wellness goals.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist. Candidates must have a diagnosed mental health or substance use disorder and at least one year of recovery.
Our ACT Team is looking for our next Peer Recovery Specialist! The Peer Recovery Specialist position with ACT, provides non-clinical, person centered wellness focused support to engage consumers in treatment and to promote use of the consumer’s wellness recovery plan. The Peer Recovery Specialist shares their first hand lived experiences with recovery to inspire hope, increase engagement in treatment and in their communities and support consumers in articulating personal goals for wellness, recovery resiliency and self-advocacy. The Peer Recovery Specialist will receive Coordinated Individual Supervision with the Office of Peer Supports and Recovery Supervisor and Program Supervisor and Peer Support Group Supervision.
$20.33-Depending on Experience
Additional compensation will be considered for any new employees who speak multiple languages.
