Nurse include: Reporting client’s social, psychological and physical behavior as indicated Implementing and ensuring compliance with standards of nursing practice that promote optimal health care delivery and meet regulatory requirements Implementing policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance with Confidentiality regulations, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), national accreditation agency and Continuous Quality Improvement, attending applicable meetings as necessary Using state guidelines, Quality Assurance Plan and Client Rights Policy, ensuring that clinical operations comply with state regulations and update plans and policies as necessary Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, making recommendations for hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, motivating, disciplining and promoting team performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems Requirements Successful candidates for the LPN role will have a working knowledge of the principle and techniques in counseling and the effective delivery of community-based healthcare services. Someone who understands the complex dynamics of the disease of chemical dependency, treatments, and resources available to support recovery would excel in this role.
Additional requirements of the
LPN include: Active and current LPN Licensure in state of employment 2 years’ experience as a nurse working with behavioral health clients, preferred Working knowledge of psychoactive substance abuse, dependency and the principles and techniques based on best practices, commitment to the use of evidence based treatment and preventative methods Valid driver’s license and automotive insurance required
