Provide general anesthesiology services in a community hospital setting, primarily focusing on a supervisory model with CRNAs. Manage a diverse case mix including OB, general, and thoracic procedures while participating in a 1:5 call rotation.
Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology and have completed an ACGME/AOA-accredited residency. Requires an unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA certification.
Orlando Health South Lake Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible General Anesthesiologist to join a collaborative and well-supported team just outside of Orlando, Florida. This full-time, hospital-based position offers a balance of compensation, flexibility, and lifestyle, making it an ideal opportunity for both experienced physicians and new graduates. Position Highlights Primarily supervisory model with CRNAs (minimal own cases) Bread-and-butter community hospital case mix including OB, general, and some thoracic No cardiac cases (cardiac program launching soon) Steady, manageable workload in a collegial environment Schedule & Call 3 weeks of standard schedule (primarily Monday–Friday) Weekend rotation: 1 in 5 weekends 1:5 call structure with home call model Monday–Friday: 4 PM – 7 AM (from home) Weekend: 7 PM – 7 AM (Saturday & Sunday) Post-call benefit: Entire following week off Compensation & Benefits Comprehensive benefits package includes health, vision, and dental insurance, malpractice coverage, disability coverage, deferred compensation, and matching retirement savings options starting from day one.
