The specialist assists clients in identifying recovery goals and creating person-centered treatment plans using motivational interventions. They provide case management, crisis intervention, and link clients to community resources and pro-social activities.
Requires lived experience in recovery from mental health or substance use disorders and a valid driver's license. Candidates must hold or obtain a CPSRP, CCAR Recovery Coach, or equivalent certification within six months of hire.

About the program: SAFE Family Recovery
SBIRT (Screening Brief Intervention Referral to Treatment), RMCS (Recovery Management Checkup and Support) and MDFR (Multidimensional Family Recovery). SBIRT is a screening that includes a breathalyzer, urine drug screen, the administration of the GAIN-SS and a discussion with client to identify areas of need related to substance use and mental health and to connection to appropriate treatment as indicated.
RMCS is designed to provide ongoing recovery support and checkups after an episode of treatment. RMCS works to facilitate involvement with pro-social activities, linkage to services as indicated and positive family relationships. MDFR is an evidence based program that addresses the complex, multi-generational challenges facing families affected by parental substance use and involvement in the child welfare system. MDFR works to address change in the following six domains.
1. Child Functioning & Safety 2. Parent/Individual functioning 3. Family relationships 4. Intimate Partner relationships 5. Parenting/Co-parenting 6. Basic needs/ community resources
About the Position: Recovery Support Specialist II
Lived experience establishing and maintaining recovery from mental health or substance use condition(s) as required by position.
2+ years working with identified populations and specifically as an CPSRP (formerly RSS) preferred. Self identifies as an individual with mental health and or substance use disorder in long term recovery.
Certified Peer Support & Recovery Professional from Advocacy Unlimited, Recovery Coach Certification from CCAR, or an equivalent certification related to the field of Recovery Support required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Valid Driver’s License required.

$20.30/hr min., and up commensurate upon experience.

Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
