Requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license held for 3 years, and the ability to pass comprehensive background and health screenings. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
Live-In Caregiver Residential Support Provider (IDD services) Residential Support Role – HCBS Developmental Disabilities Waiver
Location: Littleton, Colorado
$220 per day (~$6,600/month), paid bi-monthly. Payments are issued in accordance with HCBS residential service guidelines.
Independent contractor role within Stepping Stone’s HCBS residential services Make a meaningful difference in the life of Erik, a friendly and easygoing adult who enjoys music, movies, and spending time with people he trusts. This is a live-in residential support role within Colorado’s HCBS Developmental Disabilities Waiver program. The provider resides in Erik’s home and supports daily routines, community participation, and independent living while working as part of a professional service team.
Two-year contract. Candidates interested in long-term placements are strongly preferred. What Daily Life Typically Looks Like Supporting Erik’s morning routine and transportation to his day program (typically Monday–Thursday, 9am–3pm) Personal time while Erik attends day program Afternoon, evening, and weekend companionship, meals, and shared activities Supporting participation in community activities such as movies, church, sporting events, and family gatherings Supporting daily living activities including meal preparation, grocery shopping, budgeting, and maintaining a clean and organized home environment Assisting with personal care supports, primarily providing reminders for Erik but hands-on for some tasks Maintaining a calm, structured, and supportive home environment that promotes Erik’s health, safety, supervision, and wellbeing Encouraging independence and supporting daily living skill development Communicating regularly with Erik’s family and support team Completing required service documentation and communication with Stepping Stone
Minimum age of 21, having held a driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license and no more than 2 Type B traffic violations on your record within the last 3 years Reliable vehicle and current auto insurance with a minimum of the following coverage limits Bodily injury minimum limits - $25,000 per person/$50,000 per accident $15,000 property damage Ability to pass background, driving, CAPS checks and required screenings Computer and reliable internet access for documentation and communication Ability to obtain professional liability insurance Willingness to complete required trainings and service requirements through Stepping Stone & CDPHE Willingness to spend time getting to know Erik and participate in trial respite prior to the start of the contract to ensure a good mutual fit Ability to prioritize this role as the primary professional commitment
Assist with activities of daily living Support mobility and transfers Assist with personal care Lift up to 50 pounds Stand and walk for extended periods Perform bending, kneeling, and reaching Support evacuations and safety procedures Maintain CPR certification and be able to perform CPR on the ground Be physically able to respond quickly in emergency situations
Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities Experience as a caregiver, Direct Support Professional (DSP), or home health aide CNA certification or other healthcare or caregiving background
