Requires a high school diploma with 5 years of behavioral health experience or Medical Assistant training with 2 years of community/behavioral health experience. Proficiency in EHR and MS Office 365 is required, with bilingual skills highly preferred.

Escorts patients to exam room and prepares for MD or APRN Verifies patient information by interviewing the patient, recording medical history, review of medications, screening tools; confirming purpose of the visit and enters into medical record. Accurately obtains and records vital signs Maintains effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow in accordance with agency standards Ensures lab results are reviewed and signed by provider and disseminated as needed. Will participate as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team in the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of client’s treatment or health/mental health care plans. Maintains Environment of Care (EOC) and assigned checks (e.g., refrigerator temperatures, emergency bags/medications, expired medications, oxygen, eye wash station) Conducts pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient charts prior to appointment and determines needed services per practice protocol. Performs outreach to engage patients as needed. Completes program discharges when appropriate per agency policy and procedures. Performs administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, processing prior authorizations, messages, telephone calls, referrals etc. May perform office procedures including but not limited to CLIA waived point of care testing, EKG, and phlebotomy as ordered by a medical provider. Performs all other duties as required. *All agency staff are required to attend all mandatory department/agency meetings and trainings*
High school graduate with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a behavioral health care setting or Medical Assistant training with two years of Community/Behavioral Health Care experience. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with EHRs preferred. Bilingual highly preferred.
