Provide clinical support by assisting physicians with patient exams, procedures, and treatments. Responsibilities include recording patient histories, administering medications, and educating patients on follow-up care.
Requires a valid Iowa licensure or certification as an RN, LPN, or CMA from an accredited program. Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting and familiarity with EPIC are preferred.
Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR) Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
Valid and current licensure/certification in the state of Iowa as one of the following: Registered Nurse (RN) – Iowa Board of Nursing Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Iowa Board of Nursing Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – accredited program with certification (AAMA, NCCT, NHA or AMT) Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred Familiarity with EPIC a plus! For positions within UnityPoint Clinic, team members may be required to work at or to float to other locations to support optimized staffing
