The role involves providing chair-side assistance to providers and managing patient comfort and information during treatments. Responsibilities also include taking radiographs, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Candidates need at least six months of pediatric dental assisting experience and a CPR or BCLS certification. Completion of a CODA-accredited dental assisting program is preferred along with strong technical and communication skills.

Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile. Ensure patients are well informed and comfortable - before, during, and after their appointment - about their treatment and oral health. Take and process dental radiographs, impressions and intraoral photos. Prepares and sterilizes treatment room and equipment. Provide chair-side assistance to Providers during treatment procedures. Document dental care services by charting in patients’ records. Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-centric working environment.
Six (6) or more months of practical experience as a pediatric dental assistant. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Completion of a CODA-accredited dental assisting program (Preferred). Quick learner with problem solving skills Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Technical and troubleshooting skills for software applications used for charting, patient records, scheduling, etc. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the desire for professional growth. Be organized and possess a superior knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology.
