Assists in the delivery of patient care in the Endoscopy Center under the supervision of RNs and physicians. Responsible for utilizing endoscopy instrumentation and equipment while maintaining professional communication with patients and staff.
Requires a high school diploma and certification or training as a Surgical Technologist or LPN. Must hold a current BLS certification and complete the SGNA Associates Course within the first year of hire.
Assists in the delivery of patient care in the Endoscopy Center under the direct supervision of the RN/physician.
1. High School education or equivalent.
1. Surgical Technician or LPN, or prior experience as an Endoscopy Technician. 2. Prior experience in an Endoscopy Unit preferred.
Receives general supervision from the Nurse Manager. Functions under the direct supervision of the Physician and/or Registered Nurses in the Endoscopy Center. The amount of supervision required is directly proportionate to the complexity of the task being performed.
