Assist audiologists with evaluations, ear mold impressions, and the fitting and repair of hearing aids. Provide direct patient support, maintain equipment according to OSHA standards, and document patient education in medical records.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with training, and preferably one year of experience as an Audiology Technician or in a medical field. Candidates must be able to obtain a PIV security badge and provide proof of various required vaccinations.
Aldevra is currently seeking an Audiology Technician to assist Audiologist in the performance of audiologic evaluations and the fitting of hearing aids. Provide direct patient support for walk-in and telephone hearing aid problems. The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Assist Audiologist in Audiological Evaluations Taking accurate ear mold impressions Preparing the mold for shipping Tracking hearing aid orders and communicating with vendors Monitoring supplies Routine repairs of hearing aids Clean and maintain audiologic equipment in accordance with OSHA standards Provide chart review as needed Instruct clients in the proper maintenance, cleaning and use of hearing aids and/or assisted listening devices (ALD) Communicating and documenting patient education and reports in the medical record Cerumen Management May routinely be required to do a variety of previously unforeseen tasks in order to assist with the smooth function of the Audiology clinic

High school graduate or equivalent and training One-year experience as Audiology Technician is preferred One-year previous medical experience or training in medical fields (such as medical assistant, lab assistant, LPN). Dependable, professional, punctual and must have good written and verbal communication skills.
