The Medical Assistant will deliver direct patient care, including vital sign collection, assisting with procedures, administering treatments, and managing patient documentation and communication regarding test results and care plans. Responsibilities also include scheduling appointments, coordinating physician schedules, ensuring insurance pre-certifications, and educating patients and families.
Candidates must successfully complete a Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHP or ABHES and obtain one of several specified certifications within one year of hire, along with obtaining Basic Life Support certification within three months. Proficiency in basic computer skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English are also required.
