Requires a Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling and a valid LSW or LPC license (or eligibility within 6 months). Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience working with children and families in the mental health field.

We are now hiring a multiple full-time Mental Health Practitioner/Social Worker/Counselor (s) to join our Adoption Support and Preservation Team out of our Wheaton office.
The Adoption and Guardianship Support and Preservation (ASAP) Program at Metropolitan Family Services provides specialized therapeutic services for families formed through adoption and subsidized guardianship. The program addresses adoption-related concerns, mood and behavioral disorders, and trauma-related needs through individualized, trauma-informed care. Our clinically trained staff work collaboratively with families to promote stability, well-being, and positive long-term outcomes.
The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of $60,320 to $70,000 annually. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level. Of note, is that candidates possessing an LCSW of LCPC may be considered for a possible starting salary up to $77,000.
• Satisfactorily pass all relevant screenings and criminal background checks.
• Driving for work required with transportation of clients preferred in a personally owned vehicle. Home and community-based travel is required in multiple counties.
• While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and operate or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
