The Counselor is responsible for conducting patient intakes, assessments, and developing individualized treatment plans for substance use disorders. They provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based techniques while monitoring high-risk conditions and coordinating care with medical staff.
Candidates must possess at least an associate degree in a relevant field and hold the necessary state registration or certification to provide counseling services. Depending on the tier, a bachelor's degree, master's degree, or professional licensure from the Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology may be required.
