Allina Health Chaplains promote the spiritual well-being of patients, families, and employees through the provision of culturally responsive, trauma informed spiritual care. Principle Responsibilities Delivers or arranges spiritual care to patients and families; this includes assessing spiritual needs, responding to referrals, leading groups, providing care during end of-life and crisis situations, and effectively documenting each encounter in the electronic medical record. Routinely provides weekend and overnight on-call coverage for end of life, critical incidents, grief and loss, critical care patients, religious and culturally responsive care needs, etc.— and to offer support to the healthcare team caring for these patients and families. Supports an interdisciplinary approach to spiritual care by working to ensure that the unique spiritual, religious, and cultural needs of patients, families, and employees are addressed. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from nationally and locally accredited institution Completion of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education One year of experience as a spiritual care provider
Master's degree in Divinity or equivalent Completion of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education Two years of experience as a spiritual care provider Licenses/Certifications Board certification as a professional chaplain preferred Valid Driver’s License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver’s license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment in hospice setting Physical Demands Sedentary: Lifting weight up to 10 lbs. occasionally, negligible weight frequently Pay Range Pay Range: $31.07 to $42.59 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
