The Inpatient RN coordinates nursing care, provides direct patient care for children with orthopedic conditions, and manages patient/family education. The role also involves leadership through precepting and participating in quality improvement efforts.
Candidates must have a BSN degree (or be in process), a Missouri RN License, and BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include 2+ years of bedside experience, pediatric and ICU experience, and PALS certification.
This full-time nigh shift position works 72 hours bi-weekly and every 3rd weekend. This position qualifies for Shriners Childrens Nursing School Loan Forgiveness Program.
The Inpatient RN is responsible for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. This position will provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts. Must have excellent communication skills and be skillful in mentoring and teaching.
