The Monitor Technician performs continuous surveillance of multiple monitors to identify significant arrhythmias and signs of patient distress. They are responsible for reporting abnormal findings to nursing staff and ensuring equipment is in proper working order.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Candidates must be able to identify cardiac artifacts and communicate changes in patient conditions effectively.
