The CMA provides clinical and administrative support under a medical provider, including performing patient intake and assisting with medical procedures. They are also responsible for maintaining exam rooms, managing clinic supplies, and coordinating patient scheduling and referrals.
Candidates must have 0-1 years of experience or a completed externship and hold a CMA-AAMA or NCMA-NCTT certification. A BCLS certification from AHA, ARC, or ASHI is also required.
